EDISON, NJ - A total of 50 athletes comprise the 2006 MAAC Volleyball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Niagara University led all schools with nine members named to the team. Marist College and Saint Peter??s College each added six, while Canisius College, Iona College and Siena College each had five athletes. Manhattan College and Rider University both had four members, while Fairfield University and Loyola College rounded out the team with three athletes apiece.
