Edison, NJ ? The Stags of Fairfield University are the favorites heading into the 2007 volleyball season as they earned the top spot in the MAAC’s 2007 preseason volleyball coaches poll.

Fairfield earned nine first place votes in the poll, finishing with a total of 99 points.  Siena College was right behind the Stags in second place with 91 points, followed by Manhattan College in third place with 71 points.  Canisius College took fourth place in the poll with 61 points, followed by fifth place Marist College (58).  Loyola College placed sixth with 50 points, while Iona College (45), Saint Peter’s College (31), Rider University (26) and Niagara University (18) finished in spots seven thru 10.
