MAAC Announces 2012 Men's Tennis Awards

Edison, NJ - The Metro
Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the members of the 2012 Men's Tennis
All-MAAC teams, highlighted by Marist's Lorenzo Rossi, who was selected as the
league's Player of the Year for the second year in a row while fellow teammate
Joe Dube was named Rookie of the Year.
Marist head coach Tim Smith earned Anaconda
Sports Coach of the Year honors and led the Red Foxes to clinch the 2012
regular season title.
Rossi, a sophomore from Lugano, Switzerland,
finished the regular season with an overall record of 10-12 and a perfect 4-0
mark in MAAC play. He went 7-7 at first singles.
Dube, a
freshman from Livonia, Mich., finished the regular season with an overall
record of 23-10 and 5-0 in the MAAC. He
is currently on a three match win streak.
Smith, currently in his
15th season at Marist, led the Red Foxes to a 6-0 record in the conference.
Marist has an overall record of 13-5.
