MAAC Announces 2017 Volleyball All-Academic Team
FAIRFIELD, CT – A total of 65 student-athletes were named to the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Volleyball All-Academic team. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Manhattan College led all MAAC volleyball programs with nine student-athletes on the All-Academic team. Fairfield University, Iona College, Quinnipiac University, and Rider University all followed with eight student-athletes on the team. Marist College placed seven on the All-Academic Team, while Canisius College added five honorees. Niagara University, Saint Peter’s University, and Siena College rounded out the All-Academic Team with four student-athletes on the team respectively.
