Siena's Boberic & Quinnipiac's Zaretsky Earn MAAC Tennis Weekly Honors

Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Ivana Boberic went 2-0 this week in both doubles and singles play, while helping the Saints go 2-0 with wins over Colgate and Sacred Heart. At first singles, against Colgate, Boberic lost the first set, but came back and defeated Mackenzie Deeter, 6-4, 6-3, in the following sets. Against Sacred Heart she helped clinch both the doubles point and the singles point that gave Siena the win. She won in straight sets at first singles, 6-4, 6-1, against Sacred Heart. Boberic won both matches at third doubles with Ann Phillips.
 
Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Freddie Zaretsky, Quinnipiac

Freddie Zaretsky had a strong weekend as the Bobcats beat the Boston University Terriers, 5-2, for the third-straight season. Zaretsky picked up a victory in doubles and singles play. Zaretsky, while paired with Austin Yannone, defeated BU’s top pair, 7-6 (4). In singles play, Zaretsky defeated BU’s Lu in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, in second singles action.
