Quinnipiac's Fabbri Named 2017-18 The Rock Women's Basketball Coach of the Year
ALBANY, NY – Quinnipiac University’s Tricia Fabbri has been named the 2017-18 Women’s Basketball The Rock MAAC Coach of the Year. The honor is Fabbri’s third since the Bobcats joined the MAAC in 2013-14.
Fabbri, who is 86-12 in MAAC play, also claimed the honor in in 2014-15 and 2015-16. The Bobcats won the MAAC Championship in 2015 and reached the final in 2016.
The 23-year leader of the Bobcats guided the team to its fourth-straight Regular Season Title after going a perfect 18-0 in league play this season and a 24-5 overall record. Fabbri and the Bobcats enter this week’s MAAC Championship as the number one seed and on a 19-game winning streak.
Quinnipiac opens its 2018 MAAC Championship on Friday at 1 p.m. against the No. 9 Monmouth.
