Honor Roll
Sean Kennedy is one of the top point guards in Marist men's basketball history. He holds the program's single-game record for assists when he racked up 17 in the final home game of his collegiate career against Saint Peter's on Feb. 21, 2002. Sixteen years after his graduation, Kennedy still ranks in the program's top five all-time in both assists (670, third) and steals (212, fourth). He was named First Team All-MAAC after both his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Kennedy was also named CollegeInsider.com's Mid-Major Most Valuable Player, First Team NABC All-District, and Second Team All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. That year, Marist won a share of the MAAC regular-season championship for the first time in program history. Kennedy led the Red Foxes in scoring as a senior, and both assists and steals in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. He had a flair for the dramatic, as his half-court shot at the buzzer gave Marist a 70-67 victory over Siena at the McCann Center in the final game of the 1999-2000 regular season.
