His long jumper tied the game at 65-65 and completed the Stags’ 18-point comeback, trailing the Gaels 53-35 with 14:25 left in the second half. The guard finished his career with 1,313 points, 522 assists, and 220 steals. He earned All-MAAC honors as a senior. Wynder became the first Stag to appear in an NBA game, playing with the Boston Celtics alongside Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parrish. He also represented the United States at the 1995 Pan American Games, earning a silver medal. He played a long career in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), finishing up his time in the league after the 1995-96 campaign. He currently serves as head coach at Nassau Community College where his teams have posted three straight 20-win seasons and earned third place in the NJCAA Division III national tournament. He has posted a winning season in each of his 19 years as head coach, including 12 20-win campaigns.
