MAAC ANNOUNCES 2006 MEN's SOCCER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

EDISON, NJ  A total of 50 athletes comprise the 2006 MAAC Men’s Soccer All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution, be a significant starter or reserve and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Niagara University and Rider University led all schools with eight members each named to the team. Fairfield University added seven student-athletes. Iona College and Marist College each had six student-athletes, and Siena College had five members. Canisius College and Manhattan College both had four student-athletes, while Loyola College and Saint Peter’s College rounded out the team with one athlete apiece.
