Sophomore, Forward, 6-5, 225, Angleton, Texas/Angleton
Reid, a sophomore forward, posted his first career double-double with 17 points and a career-best 14 rebounds to lead the Greyhounds to a 95-89 win at UC Davis. The 17 points was just one off his career-high. Reid added a blocked shot and a steal while playing 31 minutes. His 10 free throws equaled the 33rd best performance in school history and was another career high.
Darryl Crawford, Manhattan
Junior, Guard, 6-4, 185, Harlem, N.Y./All Hallows
Crawford, a junior guard, led all scorers with a career-high 29 points, lifting the Jaspers to an 86-80 victory at Binghamton on Saturday. He logged 34 minutes off the bench, shot 57.1 percent (8-14) from the field, and was 3-for-4 (.750) from 3-point territory. Crawford converted 10 free throws, equaled a career high with four assists and added four rebounds in the effort. He is second at Manhattan in scoring, averaging 13.2 points per game in a reserve role this season.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Scott Machado, iona
Freshman, Guard, 6-1, 180, Queens, N.Y./St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.)
Machado, a freshman guard, averaged 6.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists in Iona’s two road contests at Western Michigan and No. 17/16 Ohio State. He posted 10 points with five rebounds and five assists vs. the Broncos, and followed it up with nine assists and seven rebounds in the loss to the nationally-ranked Buckeyes.
