Manhattan Earns a 1-0 Win over Rider in the First Round of the MAAC Women's Soccer Championship

Lake Buena Vista, Fla. - Ninth-seeded Manhattan College (8-9-2, 2-5-2 MAAC) earned a 1-0 win over eighth-seeded Rider University (7-11-1, 3-6 MAAC) in the first round of the 2009 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex.
At the 8:42 mark, sophomore Tara Gleason netted the lone goal of the day into the top half of the net.
Manhattan's Kara Davis made three saves in goal, improving her record to 7-9-2. Rider's Jenn Nichols tallied three saves on the day, and closed out the season at 3-3-1.
The Jaspers will take on top-seeded Loyola University Maryland on Friday, October 30 at approximately 1:45 p.m.
