MAAC Announces 2009 Women's Soccer All-Academic Team
MAAC Sports
EDISON, N.J. - A total of 95 athletes comprise the 2009 MAAC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Niagara University led all schools with 14 members named to the team. Canisius College added 12 members, while Iona College, Loyola University Maryland had 11 athletes named to the team, while Marist College had 10. Manhattan College and Siena College both added nine players, while Fairfield University added seven members to the team. Rider University and Saint Peter's College rounded out the team with six athletes apiece.
