Fairfield and Marist to Meet in MAAC Championship for Second Straight Year

Flushing, NY - Fairfield and Marist, the top two seeds in the 2009 MAAC Men's Tennis Championship, advanced to the championship match with victories over Niagara and Saint Peter's, respectively. The two teams, who met in last year's championship, are scheduled to play at 12:00 p.m. at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Fairfield defeated fifth-seeded Niagara, 4-1. The Stags won the doubles point and first, second,and sixth singles. Niagara picked up a victory at fifth singles.
Marist topped third-seeded Saint Peter's, 4-0. The Red Foxes won fourth through sixth singles and the doubles point.
