Iona Claims 11-10 Double Overtime Victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) in 2009 MAAC Water Polo Semifinal

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. ? Top-seeded Iona College earned an 11-10 overtime victory over fourth-seeded St. Francis (N.Y.) College in the first semifinal of the 2009 MAAC Women’s Water Polo Championship, held at Marist College’s McCann Natatorium.
Iona (22-7) will play the winner of the semifinal game between #2 Wagner College and #3 Marist for the championship title at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. St. Francis (N.Y.) (8-12) will face the loser of the second semifinal in the consolation game tomorrow at noon.
