Marist College Wins 2009 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. ? Katelin McCahill was named Most Outstanding Performer as she helped guide third-seeded Marist College to an 11-7 win over top-seeded Iona College in the 2009 MAAC Women’s Water Polo Championship Game, held at Marist’s McCann Natatorium.
The Red Foxes (18-13) earned the league’s automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Women’s Water Polo Championship. The Gaels finished out the year at 22-8 overall.
Joining McCahill on the All-Tournament Team are teammate Samantha Swartz, along with Amanda Brucia and Lauren Peterson from Iona, Sara Olguin and Kelsey Rodgers from Wagner and Andrea Dolnay from Saint Francis (N.Y.).
