MAAC Announces 2009 Softball All-Academic Team
MAAC Sports
Edison, N.J. A total of 54 athletes comprise the 2009 MAAC Softball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Manhattan College and Niagara University both led all schools with nine student athletes. Marist College added eight to the team. Canisius College, Iona College, Rider University, Saint Peter’s College and Siena College each had five student-athletes named to the team, while Fairfield University rounded out the squad with three players.
