Tania Kennedy Named MAAC Assistant Director of Championships

Edison, N.J. ? Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner, Richard J. Ensor, Esq. has announced the hiring of Tania Kennedy as Assistant Director of Championships.
Kennedy, along with the Associate Commissioner for Championships and the Director of Championships & Special Events, will run the MAAC Championships. She will assist the Director of Championships with MAAC Special Events, including NCAA Championships and MAAC Championships at Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports Complex, as well as the conference’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Kennedy will also oversee the production and distribution of the conference’s postseason awards.
Kennedy served as a summer intern at the MAAC in 2008, performing various duties around the office. Prior to that, she was a secretary and camp counselor for the Edison Township Recreational Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Saint Peter’s College.
Kennedy was a four-year letter winner for the Saint Peter’s Peahens women’s basketball team. She was named to the All-MAAC First Team in 2007-08, the All-MAAC Second Team in 2008-09, and the All-MAAC Third Team in 2006-07. Kennedy was also named the 2007-08 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. She is the Peahens' all-time leader in three-point field goals made and is one of 19 players in program history to score over 1,000 career points.
