MAAC Announces 2011 Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team

 

Edison, N.J. - A total of 68 athletes comprise the 2011 MAAC Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  Marist College led all schools with 18 members named to the team.  Rider University had nine athletes named to the team, while Iona College had eight athletes.  Fairfield University is represented by seven athletes.  Canisius College and Niagara University added six runners apiece, while Manhattan College and Siena College both had five members.  Saint Peter's College had three runners, and Loyola University Maryland rounded out the team with one athlete.
