KYLE SMYTH, IONA
Sophomore, Guard, 6-4, 185, River Edge, N.J./Don Bosco Prep
Smyth, a sophomore guard, tallied 26 of his career-high 29 points in the first half in leading Iona in an 86-65 win at Albany. He set an Iona record with eight three-point field goals, including seven in the first frame alone. Smyth shot 66.7% from the field (10-for-15) and 61.5% from behind the arc (8-for-13) while adding three assists, two steals, two rebounds and a block.
RYAN ROSSITER, SIENA
Senior, Forward, 6-9, 260, Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell
Rossiter, a senior forward, averaged 19.3 points and 17.7 rebounds in three games this past week. He has recorded at least 15 rebounds in all three contests and now leads the nation with 14.5 boards per game. Rossiter also became Siena's all-time double-doubles leader, raising his career total to 37.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
MARVIN JORDAN, NIAGARA
Freshman, Guard, 5-11, 175, Peoria, Ill./Manual
Jordan, a freshman guard, led Niagara in scoring twice with consecutive career-high scoring outputs in wins over Mount St. Mary's and Bowling Green. He scored 14 points in the comeback win over the Mount, and set a new career-high with 17 points in the win over Bowling Green. Jordan had seven assists, four rebounds, four steals and zero turnovers in the two wins. In four games, he averaged 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game for the Purple Eagles.
