New Rochelle, N.Y. - Iona College softball coach Jaime Wohlbach has announced her resignation after three seasons in New Rochelle. Wohlbach will leave the Gaels to accept the head coach position at the Colonial Athletic Association's University of Delaware.

Wohlbach posted a 45-50 overall record in three seasons at Iona. In each of her first two seasons with Iona, Wohlbach led the Gaels to 13 victories.

In 2010, Wohlbach guided the Gaels to a record of 28-26. In conference play, the Gaels finished with a record of 13-3 and earned a share of the regular season championship. The Gaels then won the MAAC Championship, earning the program's third conference title and first trip to the NCAA Tournament. Wohlbach was named the 2010 MAAC Coach of the Year for the team's performance.

A national search for a replacement will begin immediately.
