Jordan Ayris, Fairfield

Ayris tallied
two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week against MAAC opponents, both wins coming
on the road. Against Loyola, Ayris assisted on the team's first goal eight
minutes into the contest, and followed up with what proved to be the
game-winner in the 38th minute. Two days later, he scored the team's first goal
against Rider which tied the score at 1-1. The Stags went on to win the game
3-2 in overtime. For the season, Ayris leads the team in scoring with nine
points, scoring a team-high four goals with one assist. He has scored in four
of the team's seven games.

Player of the Week
Ryan Arvin, Canisius College

Arvin anchored the
Canisius defense to its best start in conference play since the 2007 season,
posting a 1-0-1 record, 0.45 goals against average and .917 save percentage
during the opening weekend of MAAC play. In the opener against Siena, Arvin
recorded five saves in an overtime victory, earning his first collegiate win.
In Sunday's match versus Marist, Arvin matched a career high with six saves and
posted his first career shutout in a 0-0 draw. Arvin did not play in 2010.
Rookie
of the Week
Ignacio Maganto, Iona College
Fr., Forward, 5-7, 140, Madrid,

Maganto
recorded four points on one goal and two assists to power Iona toward its first
victory at Loyola since 2001. The Spanish native got the Gaels off to a 1-0
lead with a goal in the 12th minute, and assisted on each of Iona's two
following goals including the 82nd minute game-winner. Maganto averaged
four shots per game over two contests with two shots on goal at Rider two days
prior.
