Top-seeded Marist College advanced to the title game of the 2011 Chick-fil-A MAAC Women's Soccer Championship following a 1-1 double overtime tie with fourth-seeded Fairfield University (Marist advances on PKs, 3-2).

Fairfield's Nikki Stanton deposited the first penalty kick, but Caitlin Landsman made saves on the next two kicks, while Marist deposited two of three kicks. Jackie Taylor started the fourth round with a make, to knot the PK at 2-2, but Kylee McIntosh's make, and the following miss by the Stags gave Marist the win.

The Stags wasted little time getting on the board, with Carly Beyar putting home the first tally 66 seconds into the contest. Lauren Reilly dribbled the ball across midfield and then played it to Shannon Fay, down the far-sideline. She touched the ball past her defender and crossed it into the box, where Beyar controlled it and had her first effort knocked away by Marist keeper Caitlin Landsman, but was unable to get under the rebound and head it into the open net.

Marist equaled the score with 10:25 remaining before intermission as Amanda Epstein headed a cross from Jessica Arabia just inside the near post. Less than three minutes later the Stags where whistled for a hand ball in the box, but Rycke Guiney lifted it over the cross bar to keep the game tied 1-1.

The Red Foxes had the better chances in the second-half, outshooting the Stags 6-4 in the period, with each team putting one shot on net. Marist had four chances in a seven minute span, one that was blocked and two that missed just wide, but could not convert. Beyar had a chance with 6:17 to play, with a shot from 20-yards out that was tapped over the cross bar by Boudreau.

Kelly Boudreau made three saves in her final collegiate game. Landsman made a pair of stops for the Red Foxes.
