EDISON, N.J. - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announces the 2010-2011 All-MAAC Men's Basketball Teams, selected by the MAAC's head coaches.

The first team is made up of Derek Needham from Fairfield University, Mike Glover and Scott Machado from Iona College, Justin Robinson from Rider University and Ryan Rossiter of Siena College. Rossiter is a repeat selection from last season's First Team. These five players are now eligible to be named the 2010-2011 Pepsi Max MAAC Player of the Year, also selected by the head coaches of the league. The winner will be announced on Thursday, March 3 at a 5:00 p.m. awards reception at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard, the site of the 2011 Spark Energy MAAC Basketball Championships.

Needham, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound sophomore guard from Dolton, Ill., picked up where he left off last season after being named the 2009-2010 MAAC Rookie of the Year. He closed out the regular season ranked sixth in scoring with 14.0 points per game and third in assists with 4.7 an outing for the Stags. A two-time MAAC Player of the Week this season, Needham posted double figures in 23 out of 29 games played this season.

Glover, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound junior forward from the Bronx, N.Y., made the most of his first season with the Gaels. He was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week on Dec. 7 after averaging 29.7 points and 12.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week for the Maroon and Gold. Glover finished the regular season ranked second in both scoring (17.9 ppg) and rebounding (10.2 rpg).
