Edison, NJ - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced the 2010-11 Women's Basketball All-MAAC Teams, as selected by the league's head coaches.

The All-MAAC First Team is made up of Fairfield University's Taryn Johnson, Loyola University Maryland's Miriam McKenzie, Manhattan College's Abby Wentworth, Marist College's Erica Allenspach and Corielle Yarde, and Siena College's Serena Moore.  One of these six players will be named the 2010-11 Pepsi Max MAAC Player of the Year, also selected by the league's head coaches.  The Player of the Year will be announced at the awards reception on Thursday, March 3 at 5:00 p.m at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Conn., the site of the 2011 Spark Energy MAAC Basketball Championships.

Johnson, a 5-11 junior forward from Brockton, Mass., led the MAAC in field goal percentage (50.7%) and blocked shots (1.9 per game). She was also first in offensive rebounds in conference games with 3.3 per contest. Johnson was in the top-10 in scoring (13.0 ppg), rebounding (8.1 rpg), and steals (2.2 spg). She was chosen as the league's Player of the Week three times.

McKenzie, a 5-10 junior guard from Columbia, Md., averaged 14.2 points per game, second best in the league. She also pulled down 7.2 rebounds per game, sixth best in the conference, and connected on 41.2% of her field goal attempts (fifth). McKenzie earned two MAAC Player of the Week awards.

Wentworth, a 5-9 senior guard from Portland, Maine, was third in the MAAC with an average of 14.0 points per game and led the league with 4.2 assists per contest. She also played the most minutes in the conference (36.3 per game) and was second in steals (2.8 spg). Wentworth was selected as the Player of the Week on January 18.

Allenspach, a 5-8 senior guard from Miamisburg, Ohio, was second in the conference in field goal percentage (48.3%) and free throw percentage (85.0%). She also posted a league leading 2.84 assist-to-turnover ratio in MAAC contests. Allenspach, a two-time Player of the Week this season, finished the regular season fifth in points per game (13.2) and assists per game (3.0). She scored a career-high 34 points against Houston on December 20 en route to Duel in the Desert Tournament MVP honors.

Yarde, a 5-8 junior guard from Reading, Pa., averaged 12.0 points per game and was third in the league with a 46.3% field goal percentage. She dished out 2.4 assists per game, ninth in the league, and added 5.2 rebounds per contest. Yarde was named the MAAC Player of the Week on November 29.

Moore, a 6-2 senior forward from Rochester, N.Y., led the league in points per game (15.0) and rebounds per game (8.8) and also posted a MAAC-best ten double-doubles. She converted 42.1% of her field goal attempts, the fourth best percentage in the conference. Moore was second in the MAAC in blocks per game with 1.5. She was named Player of the Week two times this season.

This season's All-MAAC Second Team is made up of Fairfield's Katelyn Linney and Desiree Pina, Iona College's Anda Ivkovic, Loyola's Erica DiClemente and Katie Sheahin, and Saint Peter's College's Jynae Judson.

The All-MAAC Third Team consists of Iona's Kristina Ford, Manhattan's Lindsey Loutsenhizer, Marist's Brandy Gang, Niagara University's Liz Flooks, and Siena's Cristina Centeno.
