MAAC Announces 2011 Women's Water Polo All-Academic Team

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - A total of 45 student-athletes make up the 2011 MAAC Women's Water Polo All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  Wagner College led all schools with 13 student-athletes making the team, followed by Villanova University with eight student-athletes.  Marist College added seven student-athletes to the squad.  Six athletes earned spots of the team representing Siena College and Saint Francis (N.Y.) College, and Iona College had three student-athletes on the team.
