MAAC Announces 2011 Softball All-Academic Team

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - A total of 61 athletes comprise the 2011 MAAC Softball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College led all schools with 11 student athletes. Manhattan College and Niagara University each added 10 to the team, while Canisius College and Siena College both had six apiece. Marist College and Rider University each had five student-athletes. Fairfield University and Saint Peter's College had four athletes named to the team apiece.
