MAAC Announces 2010-11 Academic Honor Roll

Edison, N.J. - A total of 1,123 athletes were honored for their achievements both academically and athletically as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced the 2010-11 MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale and be in his or her second year of athletic eligibility. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members of the MAAC with athletes represented in all 24 sports that the conference sponsors.
Marist College heads the list of honored student-athletes with 165, followed by Rider University with 139 and Niagara University with 114. The rest of the list is as follows: Iona College 112, Fairfield University 98, Loyola University Maryland 94, Canisius College 86, Manhattan College 85, Siena College 84 and Saint Peter's College 71. Among the associate members, Robert Morris University, which competes in women's rowing, has the most with 15.
