In the
Red Foxes' season opener on Friday, August 26 against Army, Brossard lead the
team to victory with a hat trick and an assist. Brossard single-handedly
brought Marist back from an early 1-0 deficit with three consecutive goals in a
matter of six minutes and 22 seconds in the first half. He completed his
scoring with an assist on a Gerry Ceja goal 1:21 after his third goal at 26:42
in the first. With his seven points, he helped Marist post the highest scoring
team output of the first weekend of NCAA Division 1 soccer with six goals.

Kyle Wittman,
a graduate goalkeeper, picked up his first shutout of the year in a 1-0 season-opening
victory at Adelphi. Wittman led the MAAC
in shutouts a year ago, with six, and stopped four Panther shots - all in the
second half - to earn his 16th career shutout.

Barbero
made one save in Iona's season opening 2-0 road win over Hofstra. The
Spanish native earned a shutout victory in his first career game and helped the
Gaels win their third consecutive season opener.
