MAAC Men's Basketball Matchup Exclusively on ESPN3
MAAC Sports
Edison, N.J. - ESPN will make the MAAC men's basketball matchup between Iona College and Rider University on Wednesday, February 15 available exclusively on ESPN3.
Game time for the contest between the Gaels (15-5, 7-2 MAAC) and the Broncs (7-14, 4-5 MAAC) is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Gymnasium. Earlier this season, Iona defeated Rider, 91-71, on Jan. 20 in a game televised on ESPNU, the 24-hour college sports network. This wildcard selection guarantees that the Gaels will have at least seven of their league games on ESPN networks. Rider is now slated to have six MAAC contests on the networks.
In October 2011, ESPN3 became the home of the conference's new National MAAC Game of the Week, exclusively carrying a total of 21 regular season games of men's and women's basketball.
Ten of the 18 games at the 2012 MAAC Basketball Championships are set to air on one of the ESPN platforms during the annual joint championships, which will be hosted for the first time at the neutral site MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass. from March 1-5, 2012.
