From the Western New England University web site:

MAAC Commissioner Richard Ensor will share his insights of working in intercollegiate athletics and administering an NCAA Division I conference on February 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Sleith Auditorium. The event, part of the Center for International Sport Business (CISB) speaker series "For the Love of the Games," is sponsored by the Alumni Association and is free and open to the public.

Ensor's talk, entitled "Commissioner as CEO," will address the business challenges faced by NCAA conferences, especially in the wake of recent high-profile realignments within several major conferences. He will also give a preview of the MAAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships that will be played at the MassMutual Center for at least the next three years, beginning this year (March 1-5, 2012).

Ensor is a graduate of Saint Peter's College and earned a master's degree from the University of Massachusetts and a law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. Prior to his appointment as commissioner in 1988, Ensor served as assistant athletics director for marketing and promotions at Seton Hall and assistant professor of sport management at the University of Massachusetts.

Recent guests in this series included World Anti-Doping Agency chair and IOC member Dick Pound, 1968 Olympic long-jump champion Bob Beamon, ESPN baseball analyst and recently named Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine, New York Times sports reporter Lynn Zinser, USA Soccer President Sunil Gulati, and New York Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson.
