MAAC Announces 2012 Volleyball All-Academic Team

Fairfield, Conn. - A total of 58 athletes comprise the 2012 MAAC Volleyball All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. Iona College led all schools with 10 student athletes. Rider University had eight representatives, while Marist College added seven to the team. Manhattan College and Niagara University both had six. Loyola University Maryland and Saint Peter's University each had five student-athletes. Canisius College and Fairfield University both had four athletes named to the team, while Siena College rounded out the team with three representatives.
