Loyola Claims 1-0 Win over Fairfield in Women's Soccer Semi

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Third-seeded Loyola University Maryland earned a 1-0 victory over second-seeded Fairfield University in the first semifinal of the 2012 MAAC Women's Soccer Championship at Tenney Stadium at Leonidoff Field on the campus of Marist College.

Kelsey Rene scored the lone goal for the Greyhounds in the 71st minute, heading in a pass from Melissa Lookingland. 

Loyola, making its 17th appearance in the MAAC final, will face the winner of the Marist/Iona semifinal on Sunday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m.  The winner of that match will earn the MAAC's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship.
