New York, N.Y. - The Saint Peter's College women's team captured its second straight title at the 2012 MAAC Indoor Track & Field Championship at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center in New York City.

The Peahens won the meet with a team score of 233.75. Manhattan College finished second with 126.25. Iona College was third with 100 points, followed by Rider University (87), Loyola University Maryland (44), and Marist College (26).

Iona's Marion Joly-Testault opened the meet with a new record in the women's 5,000-meters with a time of 16:44.94

Manhattan's Karolin Wagner broke a championship record in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.50-meters. Wagner, and teammate Andrea Nyback, were named the Co-Most Outstanding Performers for Field Events. The Jaspers' Cara Rostant set a new mark in the women's 200-meters with a time of 24.69. Rostant was named the meet's Most Outstanding Performer for Track Events, also winning the 400-meters.

New to the MAAC Championship in 2012 was the running of the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles for both the men and women, replacing the 55-meter equivalents in order to match the NCAA Championships. The winners of each of those races have now set the standard for future conference championships.
