Fairfield to Host Siena for Sunday Contest on SNY

Edison, N.J. - On Sunday, February 5, Fairfield University will host Siena College for a men's basketball game at 3:30 p.m. at the Webster Bank Arena. The afternoon contest will be featured on SNY.

Siena, 10-12 overall and 5-7 in the MAAC, is led by junior forward OD Anosike, who is registering 15.2 points and a nation-best 12.9 rebounds per game, and freshman guard Evan Hymes, who is averaging 14.2 points and 3.5 assists an outing for the Saints.
Fairfield, 12-10 overall and 7-4 in the MAAC, is led by senior forward Rakim Sanders, who is registering 16.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, and junior guard Derek Needham, who is averaging 12.0 points and 3.6 assists an outing for the Stags.
In the first regular-season meeting this year, Kyle Downey had 19 points to pace five Siena players in double-figure scoring as the Saints defeated Fairfield, 73-60, on January 6 for their first MAAC win of the season. Anosike scored 13 points and pulled down 15 boards. Rob Poole also had 13 points, Owen Wignot added 12 and Hymes 10 for the Saints. The game was back-and-forth until early in the second half when a Hymes layup put Siena ahead for good at 40-38 with 14:55 to play. Anosike then scored nine of his total in just more than two minutes, fueling a 19-8 run that helped the Saints earn the victory. Desmond Wade scored a game-high 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Stags.
