In five starts last week, Luppens
hit .533 (8-for-15) with five runs scored, four RBI and four walks in five
Canisius wins. The sophomore first baseman had three multi-hit games, including
a 3-for-3 performance in the 6-5 come-from-behind win against Rider in game one
of the weekend series. Luppens posted a .600 on-base percentage and .867
slugging percentage that included a home run at St. Bonaventure.

Yuhas pitched
tremendously against Fairfield in the first game of the Peacock's doubleheader
this past Sunday. Giving up one earned run in seven innings pitched, Yuhas
threw just 83 pitches and limited the Stags to five hits while striking out
five to keep the Peacocks within striking distance. After being shutout for the
first six innings, the Peacocks would battle back and score two runs in the
bottom of the seventh to give Yuhas the complete game victory, his third win of
the season.

Petrone
hit .600 (6-for-10) in Marist's two games this past week with three-hit
performances in both games, and he also compiled a slugging percentage of .800.
Against CAA foe Hofstra on March 27, Petrone went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a
run scored and a sacrifice bunt. At Niagara on March 30, he again went 3-for-5
with a run scored at the top of Marist's order.
