MAAC Announces 2012 Water Polo All-Academic Team

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - A total of 41 student-athletes make up the 2012 MAAC Women's Water Polo All-Academic Team, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced today. To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.  Wagner College led all schools with 12 student-athletes making the team, followed by Saint Francis (N.Y.) College with eight student-athletes.  Six athletes earned spots of the team representing Marist College and Villanova University.  Iona College had five student-athletes on the team, while Siena College added four student-athletes to the squad.
