Fairfield, Marist Set to Face-Off In MAAC Men's Tennis Championship

West Windsor, N.J. - Fairfield University and Marist College have advanced to the finals of the MAAC Men's Tennis Championship after winning their semifinal matches against Niagara University and Saint Peter's, respectively.

The second-seeded Stags narrowly defeated third-seeded Niagara, winning 4-3 over the Purple Eagles. Fairfield claimed the doubles point and earned wins in the first, third, and sixth singles. It is the fifth consecutive trip to the championship match for Fairfield.

Top-seeded Marist cruised into the final with a 6-1 victory over fourth-ranked Saint Peter's. The Red Foxes will be looking to earn their fifth-consecutive MAAC title on Sunday.

Marist previously defeated Fairfield 4-3 in their regular season matchup and have also won the past four MAAC Championships over the Stags.

The men's championship match will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.
