So. - Pitman, NJ
Sophomore Shona Potrzuski helped lead the Peahens to their second consecutive
MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship just over a week ago. Potrzuski was
one of three Peahens with two first place finishes, in both the 400m (55.32)
and the 400m hurdles (1:00.38). Her time of 1:00.38 in the 400m hurdles broke a
thirteen-year standing MAAC record in the event by over a second. This past
weekend, the Pitman, NJ native took home a silver medal in the 400m hurdles to
account for the Peahens highest post-season finish. Her time of 59.67, an SPC
record, now ranks her #29 in the East, and puts her in a solid position for the
NCAA Regionals. Potrzuski currently holds a 3.509 GPA and was named to the 2012
Outdoor Track and Field MAAC All-Academic Team.
