Saint Peter's Wins 2012 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship

Lawrenceville, NJ - Saint Peter's College won its second straight MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Rider University with a score of 278.50. It's the second straight outdoor title for the Peahens.
Manhattan College finished second with 181 points. Rider University was third with 135, followed by Iona College (113), Loyola University Maryland (55.50), and Marist College (44).
Iona's Heidi Gregson eclipsed her own record in the 800-meters, winning in 2:08.13. Saint Peter's Shona Potrzuski broke a 13-year old record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.38.
Iona's Marion Joly-Testault earned Most Outstanding Performer for Track events after winning the 5000 and 10000-meters, and setting a championship record in the 10k. Saint Peter's Cristina Vilsaint won the hammer throw and the shot put to claim the award for field events.
Saint Peter's head coach Mike Massone was named the 2012 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year.
