MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
Trish O’Dwyer, Monmouth University
Senior, Forward, 5-9, Dublin, Ireland/Loreto Beaufort
O’Dwyer registered eight points to pace Monmouth’s offense last weekend. The senior forward was one of three Hawks to post four points in Friday’s 5-0 victory over Sacred Heart as she scored once and dished out a pair of assists. In Sunday’s set-back to Quinnipiac, the Ireland native scored both of the Hawks’ goals for her second multi-goal game of the season. O’Dwyer finished the week with a .571 shots on goal percentage and averaged four points per game.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
Joelle Prettyman, Rider University
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, 5-6, Newark, Del./St. Mark’s
Prettyman led Rider to a 2-0 week as the Broncs defeated Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart to move to 4-1 in the conference. Against the Bobcats on Friday, Prettyman allowed only one goal while making three saves. On Sunday, the sophomore posted a combined shutout in a 4-0 win over Sacred Heart, making four saves in 63:30 of action. For the week, Prettyman had a 0.52 goals against average and lowered her season goals against average to 1.21.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Kalyn O’Brien, Rider University
Freshman, Forward, 5-2, Southampton, N.J./Seneca
A three-time MAAC Rookie of the Week honoree, O’Brien led Rider to a 2-0 week as the Broncs defeated Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart. Against the Pioneers on Sunday, O’Brien scored the first two goals of the game as the Broncs qualified for the MAAC Championship set for Nov. 8-9.
