MAAC Offensive Player of the Week
SANDRA PENAS, RIDER

Penas led Rider to a 2-0 week, scoring six points on one goal and four assists in a 2-1 overtime win at Saint Joseph’s on Friday. Penas assisted on the game winning shot with less than two minutes remaining in the first overtime. Her first assist of the game and allowed the Broncs to tie the score 1-1 and made Penas Rider’s all-time leading scorer. In the Broncs 3-2 win at Lehigh on Sunday, Penas had a hand in all three goals, scoring once and also assisting on the game-winner for the second game in a row. Her seventh goal of the season gave Rider a 1-0 lead over the Mountain Hawks and after Lehigh tied the game 1-1, her assist gave Rider a 2-1 lead just over six minutes later. After the Mountain Hawks retied the game 2-2, Penas set up the game-winner with less than 20 minutes remaining in the second half. The MAAC preseason Player of the Year leads Rider with nine assists and 23 points and is second on the team with seven goals.
MAAC Defensive Player of the Week
JOELLE PRETTYMAN, RIDER

Prettyman compiled a 1.37 goals against average for the week, holding the defensive unit together long enough to allow Rider two wins by one goal last week. In a 2-1 overtime win at Saint Joseph’s on Friday, Prettyman made five saves in over 83 minutes of play. At Lehigh on Sunday, Prettyman had to make eight saves to keep the Mountain Hawks off the board long enough in a 3-2 win.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
NICOLE HAREAU, RIDER
Fr., F, 5-6, Montevideo, Uruguay
The leading scorer in the MAAC with 10 goals, Hareau earns MAAC Rookie of the Week recognition for the second time after a four-goal week (eight points), including scoring both game-winning goals as Rider won at Saint Joseph’s 2-1 in overtime on Friday and 3-2 at Lehigh on Sunday. Against the Hawks, Hareau had both Broncs’ goals as Rider battled back from a 1-0 deficit.
