Juan'ya Green - Niagara University

Sophomore standout Juan'ya Green has helped the Niagara men's basketball team to its best MAAC start in program history. The Purple Eagles went 10-1 through their first 11 games, including winning a program-best 10 straight MAAC games, and currently sit in first place in the standings. Green is a pivotal piece to the Purple Eagle puzzle. He ranks in the top 10 in six categories in the conference: second in assists (5.2 apg), second in steals (1.9 spg), second in minutes (37.6 mpg), third in assist/turnover ratio (1.8), sixth in scoring (16.5 ppg) and 10th in free throw percentage (77.5 percent). Green, who is the reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year, has been named MAAC Player of the Week twice this season (Jan. 7 and 28). Green is majoring in sociology.
Katelyn Linney - Fairfield University
Women's Basketball, Sr., G, 5-8, Freehold, N.J./St. John Vianney
Senior Katelyn Linney scored her 1,200th career point on February 7 and is approaching 16th place on Fairfield's career scoring chart. She has never missed a game in her Fairfield career, appearing in 119 contests with 118 starts, and playing more than 4,200 minutes. Linney has scored in 115 games, hit at least one three-pointer in 106 games, and is already Fairfield's career leader in three-pointers made (253). In the classroom, Linney is a communications major with minors in math and marketing who made the Fairfield University Dean's List in the fall.
