Begley had a career game in
Marist's 15-12 victory over Sacred Heart this past Saturday, registering an
astounding six points on five goals and an assist. He doubled his career-best
for points in a single game and has already reached his entire goal scoring
output from all of last year with eight goals. On Saturday, Begley scored on
five of the six shots that he took while also scooping two ground balls and causing
a turnover. None of his goals were bigger than his last one, which came after
Sacred Heart had scored five straight goals to end the third quarter and pull
within three.

Long-stick midfielder Sean
McMahon anchored an impressive defensive effort by Manhattan in their 11-7 win
over Lafayette this past Saturday. The junior caused a game high three
turnovers while picking up a team best six ground balls in the victory. He
also contributed by leading a man-down defense that held the Leopards to just
1-6 on the extra-man opportunity and holding their opponent scoreless for a
span of 21:59 minutes of playing time, including the entire third quarter, to
help a Jasper comeback win.

Gravino opened
his career in style, tying for the team lead in points in a pair of games at
the Frontier Airlines Face-Off Classic. The rookie recorded four points on
three goals and one assist. In his first collegiate game, Gravino recorded
three points, two goals and one assist against Air Force before netting one
goal versus No. 11 Denver. Gravino also added three ground balls during the
weekend.
