MAAC Player of the Week
Elena Bowman, Manhattan, Fr., C/IF, 5-8, San Mateo, Calif./Aragon

Bowman belted a pair of three-run homers in the Jaspers' home-opening 12-2 rout of Hartford on Sunday. She connected on a shot to center field in the second inning, and then ended the game with a blast to right in the sixth. Bowman also doubled and scored in the fourth, finishing the contest 3-for-3 with three runs scored and six RBIs. Overall, she reached base safely in six of her seven plate appearances during the doubleheader. In addition to the three extra-base hits, Bowman was hit by a pitch three times in the two games.


MAAC Pitcher of the Week
Emily Osterhaus, Marist, Sr., Pitcher, 5-4, Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge

The senior leader of Marist's pitching staff turned in one of the best performances of her career on Sunday, March 10 versus Rhode Island as she dominated the Rams for a seven inning complete game shutout. In the seventh shutout of her career, Osterhaus silenced Rhode Island's bats with seven strikeouts and did not allow a base runner to safely reach third base for the entire game. Her final line was 7.0 innings pitched, 0.00 ERA, seven strikeouts with six hits and one walk.


MAAC Rookie of the Week
Meghan Cuda, Canisius, Fr., 3B, 5-2, Lewiston, N.Y./Lewiston-Porter

Cuda hit .429 (6-for-14) with three triples, three runs scored and four RBIs last week as the Golden Griffins took part in the Lady Pirate Classic in Hampton, Va. She scored Canisius' only run in a 6-1 loss to Central Connecticut State March 8 and then followed that effort with a career-high four hits and four RBIs in the team's 15-2 win over UMES. For the week, she was credited with five fielding assists at third base and she also posted a .429 on-base percentage and an .857 slugging percentage.
