Iona Advances to 2013 MAAC Women's Championship Final

Springfield, Mass. - Damika Martinez scored 25 points to lead second-seeded Iona College to a 68-58 win over sixth-seeded Siena College in the quarterfinals of the 2013 MAAC Women's Basketball Championship.
Martinez, the 2013 Pepsi Max MAAC Player of the Year, also recorded six rebounds and five steals to send her team to the title game on Monday, March 11 at noon. That game will air live on ESPNU.
Joy Adams added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Gaels, while Aleesha Powell contributed 10 points and four assists.
Lily Grenci finished with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds for Siena. Clara Sole Anglada posted 10 points for the Saints.
