CHRISTIAN SEGAR, CANISIUS

Segar hit .643 (9-for-14) with five runs scored, five RBI and five steals, leading Canisius in all four categories as the Golden Griffins posted four wins last week. The senior outfielder recorded four multi-hit games in his four starts and also posted at least one run scored, one hit and one RBI in each of the four contests. Segar reached base in 13 of his 19 plate appearances, scored the game-tying run in a mid-week win over Buffalo and game-winning run in the series opener at Iona.

BRETT HOUSEAL, MARIST
Sr., RHP, 6-3, 230, Landisville, Pa./Hempfield
Houseal pitched all 11 innings in Marist's 2-1 victory at Siena in the second game of a doubleheader on March 30 for the longest outing of his career and third straight complete game. Houseal allowed less than one baserunner per inning, as he permitted just seven hits and three walks. He recorded five strikeouts. Houseal enjoyed an efficient outing in which he threw less than 12 pitches per inning (128 for the game). After allowing his only run of the game in the second inning, he did not allow a Siena runner to get as far as third base the rest of the game. He retired 12 consecutive Saints at one point between the fourth and eighth innings, and allowed just one hit after the fourth.

ALEX GODZAK, CANISIUS
Fr., LHP, 5-9, 188, Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill
Godzak threw seven no-hit innings as part of the first Division I, nine-inning no-hitter in program history in an 8-0 win over Iona College on Friday afternoon. Godzak overcame walks to the second and third batters of the game before retiring the next 20 batters he faced as the Syracuse, N.Y. native also struck out six in his seven innings of work. The 5-foot-9 lefty combined with sophomore Rohn Pierce and junior Jon Fitzsimmons to no-hit the Gaels, the first no-hitter by Canisius since 1993.
