Brett Houseal – Marist College

Baseball, Sr., RHP, 6-3, 230, Landisville, Pa./Hempfield

Houseal has been a standout on the field and in the classroom in his four years at Marist. He has won his last five starts, and has helped lift Marist to near the top of the MAAC standings. His four complete games rank second nationally, and include an 11-inning effort in a 2-1 win at Siena on March 30. On the season, Houseal is 6-3 with a 3.88 ERA, and leads the Red Foxes in wins and innings pitched (60.1). He has won three MAAC weekly awards in his career, including two this season. In the classroom, Houseal is a two-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team who is majoring in Communications.

 

Nancy Kennish – Canisius College

Women’s Rowing, Jr., 5-7, Utica, N.Y./Notre Dame Jr./Sr.

As a member of the Canisius Varsity Eight, junior Nancy Kennish has helped the Golden Griffins secure a pair of MAAC weekly honors this season. Kennish and her crewmates remain undefeated against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponents through three spring races. In recent action, the Griffs secured fourth place in their respective heat at the Knecht Cup on April 13 in Camden, N.J. along the Cooper River. The Griffs held the top time among MAAC schools competing in the Varsity Eight race at the Knecht Cup with a time of 6:59.75. A 2012 MAAC All-Academic Team selection, the Utica, N.Y. native is majoring in athletic training with a 3.220 GPA.
