Marist Takes Third Place in MAAC Water Polo

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - Third-seeded Marist College earned a 12-9 victory over fourth-seeded Villanova University in the consolation game of the 2013 MAAC Women's Water Polo Championship, held at Marist's McCann Natatorium.
Sophomore Jessica Hamby led the Red Foxes with three goals apiece. Hannah Levien, Shelby Rinker, Anna-Lena Hathaway each added two goals. Ellie Hoffman and Yuriria Chavez registered one goal apiece for Marist.
Freshman Sarina Shibata paced the Wildcats with four goals, while Julia Penkal and Naomi Ng recorded two goals each.
