ALEX WITKUS, FAIRFIELD

Centerfielder Alex Witkus hit .444 (8-for-18) with a homer, six runs scored, three stolen bases, and two RBI to help Fairfield to a 3-1 week. He opened the week by going 2-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, and two runs scored in the Stags’ 6-2 win over Quinnipiac. In Fairfield’s doubleheader sweep of Canisius, the leadoff man was instrumental, notching three hits and scoring two runs in each game. He went a combined 6-for-10 with his first collegiate homer, four runs scored, two RBI, and two stolen bases in the doubleheader. In the field, he was perfect defensively in 12 chances.

DEVON STEWART, CANISIUS

Stewart went seven shutout innings in a 5-0 victory over Fairfield in the regular-season finale. The sophomore allowed four hits and walked two while striking out six to win his fourth game of the season. Stewart allowed the leadoff batter to reach one time in his seven innings and didn’t allowed a Fairfield batter to reach third base in the start.

CHRISTIAN SANTISTEBAN, MANHATTAN

Santisteban hit a combined .429 with five RBIs in Manhattan’s season-ending series against Siena. In the first game of a doubleheader on Thursday, he drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning before ripping an RBI single in the sixth. Santisteban also scored a run in the game. He then had two hits and three RBIs in the series finale on Friday. Santisteban drove in the Jaspers’ first run with a first-inning sacrifice fly, and later belted a two-run single in the seventh. He added a double to finish 2-for-4 in the 6-5 Manhattan victory.
