Two Teams Clinch Spots in MAAC Baseball Championship

Edison, NJ – The Rider University Broncs and the Marist College Red Foxes have both secured their spots in the 2013 MAAC Baseball Championship held at ARM & HAMMER Park in Trenton, New Jersey.
Rider solidified their spot after beating Niagara University 8-4 on Sunday with two weeks remaining in the regular season schedule. The Broncs are currently atop of the MAAC with a conference record of 14-4 and 30-17 overall. Rider last won a MAAC Title in 2010.
Marist improved their record to 15-6 in the MAAC and 25-19-1 overall after a win against Saint Peter’s on Sunday 7-6. The Red Foxes have claimed five MAAC titles, with their most recent being in 2009.
